Using Samari with Zoom
Last updated: July 2026
Overview
Samari sends a notetaker to your Zoom meeting as a visible participant. It records the call, then generates a transcript, summary, action items, and decisions in your Samari dashboard.
Before you start
- A Samari account — sign up or sign in at not-iq-murex.vercel.app/login.
- Consent from the meeting participants to record — you are responsible for obtaining it.
Add the notetaker to a Zoom meeting
- 1Open your Samari dashboard.
- 2Copy your Zoom meeting’s join link (e.g.
https://zoom.us/j/123456789?pwd=…). Keep the full link, including thepwdpart. - 3Paste it into the “Invite Samari Notetaker” box on the dashboard and press Send.
- 4Alternatively, connect your calendar (Settings → Calendar) and enable auto-record so Samari joins scheduled Zoom meetings for you automatically.
- 5If your meeting uses a waiting room, admit the “Samari Notetaker” participant when it requests to join.
During the meeting
The notetaker appears in the participant list as “Samari Notetaker” — a visible participant — and records the meeting. Participants can see it is present at all times.
After the meeting
Once the call ends and processing finishes, open the meeting in your Samari dashboard to find the transcript, summary, action items, and decisions. Action items appear on your Action Board; decisions appear in the Decision Registry.
Remove the notetaker from a meeting
- 1As the Zoom host, open the Participants list, find “Samari Notetaker”, and choose Remove; or
- 2From your Samari dashboard, open the in-progress meeting and use the option to remove/stop the notetaker.
Remove Samari's access to Zoom
To disconnect Samari from your Zoom account entirely:
- 1Go to marketplace.zoom.us and sign in.
- 2Click Manage → Added Apps.
- 3Find Samari in the list and click Remove.
This revokes Samari’s access to your Zoom account.
